FBC Oasis

Welcome to FBC Oasis!  At FBC, we want every student to find their place with us as we worship and serve our Lord and King, Jesus.  We want to create an environment that is inviting and fun.  But make no mistake, our commitment is first and foremost to trusting in God and His Word.  So let us partner with you and your family to make it clear that our students are always loved by God and called to something great!

A Program Update from Youth Minister Joel Harvey

We want to challenge all of our families to join us in the Remain Initiative!  The Remain Initiative is a challenge that Crossings Ministries has put out for us to grow in Christ during this different time that we are facing.  I would love to see all of our families commit to joining with us.  I believe that we will see our lives change and our families change, as we seek to remain in Christ.  The third project is called Parent Chat.  The goal of this is to get to know your parents on a deeper level, and to encourage one another in Christ.

Be sure to watch this week's video.  It's posted below with along with the previous videos in this series.

I want to remind you all that even though we can’t meet in person, we are still having our weekly meetings through Zoom.  Be sure to download the app on your phones or the software on your computers.  When we meet, I will send out a link to the meeting, and each person will just have to click on the link to join. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about using Zoom.

Some of our meeting times have changed, so be sure to check the schedule below.  I hope that we see all of our students at each of these gatherings!

In Christ,

Joel

Sunday School

We meet from 9:45am-10:30am in the Youth Building each Sunday between worship services. Our students are age graded in their Sunday School classes and challenged with solid Biblical messages from Bible Studies for Life, which is a curriculum by LifeWay.

Sunday Night Trek/Journey

On Sunday nights, we start off in the gym at 5:00pm with some fun and games. We then move to the youth building where our middle and high school students break off. Trek is for our middle school students, where they study the book of John. Journey is for our high school students. We start off with large group lesson on Apologetics. We discuss things involving how to defend your faith, and why you believe what it is you believe. We then break off into small groups to discuss further in a more intimate setting before wrapping up at 7:00pm.

Wednesday Night Oasis

On Wednesday nights from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Youth building, we meet for Oasis.  During this study time, we teach through books of the Bible. We believe that God’s Word shows us how we have been called to live a life of Godliness. This year, we are studying the book of 1 Corinthians and what Paul had to say to the Christians in the city of Corinth, and how this applies to us. We start off together in a time of Large group teaching, and then move into small groups where we discuss the message in more depth.

There's Always Something Happening with our Students!

In addition to our regular Sunday and Wednesday schedule, our students stay active with a variety of activities throughout the year.  From conferences, concerts, and retreats to camping trips and our annual week at summer camp, our FBC Youth stays engaged with the gospel in a number of ways!  Check out the gallery below to see our church in action.
